Congratulations to David Hoffman on his acceptance into Colorado All State Choir!!!!!  David will travel to Denver in February to perform with other students from across the state. 2075 students around the state auditioned with approximately 360 selected. Way to go David!!!

The Cortez FFA chapter competed at the District Speaking Contest in Ignacio on Nov. 15th. Samantha Moyer received a silver rating in the Creed Speaking contest and Chevelle Reed received a bronze rating in the Creed Speaking contest. Sarah McDonald received a silver rating with her prepared speech titled "Farmers Vs. City Dwellers, Can they understand each other". M-CHS is very proud of our FFA students, great job!

The Montezuma-Cortez Knowledge Bowl Team would like to recruit you! Do you retain knowledge and want to compete? Then we want you. Come join the Knowledge Bowl team for practice in Mrs. McVicker's room 2110. Mon / Thurs - lunch, Wed - after school 3:15 - 4

Hope to see you at the next practice.....and bring food!!!


Important Deadline for Juniors and Seniors:  Students wishing to receive Pueblo Community College credits for second semester classes must turn in completed applications to their grade level counselor no later than Friday, November 17th.  


The American Indian College Fund provides scholarships to American Indian/Alaska Native students. Scholarship applications are accepted from students beginning January 1 and ending May 31 of each year. ASVAB results are in!  We will be distributing them and providing interpretations on results Friday, November 17th at 9:00 A.M. in the library.  Please sign up in the guidance office ASAP.
